5.3 Class blog
We are open-minded, balanced, caring, knowledgeable, principled, thinkers and inquirers, who communicate, take risks, and reflect on our actions. Follow our journey on our final year of the PYP.
In preparation to our oncoming exhibition, we have been lucky to have a variety of guests to share a talk about their 'passions'. Many of the passions led to action, which is a large focus of our inquiry in exhibition. The time has almost come for us to begin our exhibition! Ms Skrtic hosted all of the grade 5 classes in the MPR for a discussion on the exhibition and to choose our central idea in preparation for the exhibition to begin in a few weeks time. First, we looked at some of our central ideas from this year. We saw what makes a good central idea and why they were good ones! We had to then choose which were bad central ideas and which were good central ideas - that was fun and we were quite good at selecting which was which. We all had a go at writing the WORST central idea we could think of, that didn't match any of the criteria of a good central idea. Some of the results were hilarious. However, now it was time to think seriously and write an idea that fit the criteria of being Challenging, Engaging, Relevant, Significant, One idea, and True. |
