Welcome to 5.3
Dear Parents of 5.3,
Firstly, welcome to what should be an exciting year in your child's education. Grade 5 is the last year of the PYP, which means your children are the eldest in the elementary school and are the leaders and role models for the younger children. Their final year of the PYP also culminates in an exhibition on April 25-26 to showcase their understanding, talent, and creativity.
School Times: the gates open at 7:30am for the 7:55am bell, 8:00am start. School ends at 2:25pm.
Lunch: lunch is from 12:10-12:25pm. If you would like a school lunch, you need a card (available for $2 from the canteen) and order online from the SATS website.
Homework: will be assigned on a Monday and will usually be due by Friday unless stated. You can find the weekly homework here on the Home Learning page.
Website: the ISS website is the place to find school information, K-12 curriculum outcomes, and grade level year overviews.
ManageBac: for reports, events and calendars, and the grade 5 curriculum go to ManageBac.
